This year is the bicentenary of the defeat of the Emperor Napoleon by the forces of the sixth coalition. The British and their Portuguese and Spanish allies invaded France across the Pyrenees in the last act of the Peninsular War.

Professor Charles Esdaile is Professor of Modern History at the University of Liverpool. He is a leading historian of the Napoleonic wars who has written extensively about the Peninsular War.

The hosts will be the Fusiliers Museum and the event includes a sandwich lunch a glass of wine and the opportunity to network in the exclusive surroundings of the Fusiliers mess in HM Tower of London.
